OUR MEDIUM TO LONG-TERM OUTLOOK
INGUNAPHAKADE is determined to grow beyond being a start-up to become an entity that plays a valuable role in the wider economy of South Africa
1) Sustainability
While the business started up over 8 years ago, we are determined to move out of the start-up mode/phase (existence & survival) and become more sustainable. This means that INGUNAPHAKADE is keeping its eyes on the next phases which are:
- Success
- Take-off (growth)
- Resource maturity
3) Customer relations
Becoming a fully customer-centric business, INGUNAPHAKADE should harness its customer relations. Part of this includes regularly soliciting customers feedback and always being accessible to our customers and clients.
2) Operational excellence
Our service delivery should be underpinned by effective operations and continual improvement. We realise that we have to work on such elements as defining our Standards Operating Procedures, quality plan and measurement, employee manual; organizational charts, hiring policies, training systems, and so on. We should all know who is doing what, where and with what. This will mean INGUNAPHAKADE improving operational efficiency and driving down costs. According to McKinsey efficiency improvements do boost operational profits by as much as 60%.
4) Financial management
It is a matter of ‘life and death’ that we develop best-in-practice financial management systems to manage our monetary deposits and withdrawals. From bidding to budgeting, INGUNAPHAKADE will work towards an established system for estimating costs. Our systems should consider labour costs, materials, overheads, profit, taxes, insurance and miscellaneous costs.
